My mom wanted a fun mailbox for her home so we found the perfect vintage box at an antique store. I attached it to a cast iron base and added back plate to the top of the box to add height and visual interest. It turned out pretty darn cute!

So it took 2 years and much convincing, but I finally got the go ahead from my husband to convert a breezeway into a 4th bedroom for our growing family! (Or to sell our house and get more value)
For those of you who don't know what a breezeway is, you're not alone. It was a pass through built with the house, that went from the front yard to the back yard, that's inbetween the house and garage. When we bought the house over 2 years ago, a previous owner had walled this up, so we had an additional patio sliding door in the dining room that we would have to go through to get to the garage.
Now we've extended the laundry room to make a longer hallway/mudroom area to walk straight through to the garage. We also took the patio slider out and added a bedroom door, framed in a bedroom, and added a cute window with closets on either side. It's still a work in progress, but is coming along beautifully! I will update pics as the rooms get further along.
Here's how the outside of the breezeway looked when we bough the house.
Here is after with the door taken out, the stucco texture matched, and matched the bottom brick.
Here's the patio slider off the dining and the other door goes into the laundry that we never used.
The door to new bedroom where we extended the wanescotting to make the old slider opening dissapear!
I love the look of closets on either side of a window so we made it happen with this addition :)
LOVE my closets! They turned out so cute and I found a perfect bench to fit inbetween! Now they just need some paint.Bedroom after!
